I think she was very nice and sweet, but I booked my appointment via ZocDoc under “EMDR Therapy”. After 30 minutes of intake paperwork and going over what I already had filled out, and retelling everything I had already put down, I finally asked only to be told she is not licensed and that EMDR is “costly and not a method she was suggest.” I researched what I personally felt was the best option for me, made an appointment for a specific type of therapy, only to be told that office does not perform it.
My biggest issue came when our virtual appointment was not private. Midway through , another person appeared on screen, on camera, on the phone, in the middle of our appointment. She was quickly gone and the provider apologized for the glitch but this made me highly uncomfortable. I do not feel like my information was private and I have no clue who that other person was.
