Pleshe Counseling
I believe clients all carry the inherent knowledge within themselves for healing, they have just as part of the human experience( because of how our brain works) forgotten how to access this. I believe my job is to join them in a process of remembering and reconnecting to their true self, while letting go of the old tapes, or programs they have to come to believe based on negative life experiences in relationship with others.
Brainspotting and Imago relationship therapy are two modalities that help clients release old beliefs and coping patterns that prevent them from living the life they ideally desire. I also borrow from attachment theory, and several other psychology approaches to help clients meet their goals. I especially love these two methods as it is often the client that connects in the process to the recognition of the patterns of unhealthy behavior and why they do this. This is usually a relief and creates opens the road for change and healthier relationship with the self and others.
