PRECISION VISION INSTITUTE is a specialty lens practice based in Duluth, GA. Here At PVI, we believe patients with unique eye conditions deserve a staff that truly understands their goal of achieving clear clear vision. There are many patients whose vision cannot be corrected by glasses or soft contact lenses, such as keratoconus and corneal transplant patients, to name a few.
Conversely, there are patients that can tolerate soft contacts and glasses, but are looking for a way to further improve their vision or comfort. That’s where our job here at PVI begins. We have a singular focus of fitting scleral lenses to help patients to achieve sharp and comfortable vision.
Scleral lenses allow us to restore patients’ vision through non-surgical means. Just like surgery, fitting scleral lenses require a level of expertise, experience, and attention to detail. Dr. Nim has spent her time as an optometrist perfecting different techniques in achieving the best fitting lens for her patients. She is passionate about restoring patients’ vision and is dedicated in providing the highest level of care for her patients.

She was a bit cold and it came off as rude. I have never needed glasses in my life, so I was a bit shocked when I was recommended a perscription. When I asked her questions, she was clearly annoyed that I asked her and then told me that I’ve needed glasses my whole life and was just « hiding it » which is not true. I then asked if there was anything that I could do to help slow the deterioration or even reverse it and she just scoffed and said no and left. When I returned to the office for my glasses, she barely said hello, but I was the only patient there, so it didn’t seem like she was busy with an appointment

Dr. Nim was wonderful! Very thorough. She reviewed and explained all exam/test findings very well and took my input about lens strength into consideration. I feel like my prescription is much better than it has been in the past. The office was clean and small which was nice. The front desk was quick and helped with understanding billing and insurance as this is the first time I’ve used my new insurance. The tech was very kind and thorough helping get the testing and medical history portion done quickly before my physical exam with the Dr. Nim. Overall very good visit!

I made an appointment for Friday, September 6th for 10:30am. I made the appointment early on Thursday morning via ZocDoc on September 5th.
At 10:15am on the day of my “appointment” I got a call stating that there was no appointments available. I was already parked and inside the building when I received the late call.
I’m frustrated because the business opens at 9:00am. They could have called at 9:30am or even 10:00am so I didn’t have to waste my time or gas. I was just really disappointed with their lack of consideration.

I came in for a checkup as a new patient and had a great experience with Dr. Vuon Nim (and her staff). She's excellent at taking the time to get to know you, talk through your concerns, and explain your results without ever making you feel rushed. The women who helped me with my glasses and eye tests were wonderful to work with as well.

Very clean facility with extremely helpful and efficient staff. They even helped fix a pair of broken glasses for me while I was being seen.
Dr. Nim was great! Not only did she get all the usual exam pieces done correctly and quickly she even gave me a few places to check out while I’m here on work.
Billing and checkout more of the same friendly and expedient service. Super easy. If I lived here it’s the place I’d go to all the time.

Dr. Lay is my go-to person for anything eye-related. I thought my vision was fine for 30+ years until i finally made my first visit with Dr. Lay. With my new found vision I can see clearly with confidence. It all makes sense now why life was so hard before, I couldn't see through the obstacles through my birth lens. No more drama because i can now see through all the bs. No more if the dress is blue or yellow. No more wondering if she's the one. I feel like i could be in that version signal commercial but instead of "you hear me now?" it'll be "you see me now?"
