Preferred Behavioral Health Agency

Clients can expect their first session with Preferred Behavioral Health Agency (PBHA) to be welcoming, supportive, and focused on building a strong foundation for care. We prioritize creating a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their concerns, experiences, and goals at their own pace. During the initial session, we conduct a comprehensive assessment to better understand each client’s emotional, behavioral, and environmental needs. We work collaboratively with clients (and families when appropriate) to identify strengths, explore current challenges, and begin establishing meaningful, individualized goals for treatment. Our approach is warm, empowering, and solution-oriented, with an emphasis on helping clients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in their care. Clients can expect to leave the first session with a clearer understanding of the therapeutic process, initial goals, and a plan for moving forward toward improved stability, coping, and overall well-being.

Waited 30 minutes into the appointment to even begin the session while he did paperwork
Benjamin was very nice and professional. Talking to him was very easy I felt like I was talking to someone I’ve known for many years. He never mad me feel like something was wrong with me.

Benjamin was very easy to talk to. Very understanding and did not judge my situation at all. He kept reminding me that I was in a safe space and gave me time to speak. I felt comfortable talking about my PTSD and some other issues I've been struggling with. He has helped me learn some new coping methods to help me get through my attacks. I highly recommend him.

I stated over and over again in my paperwork I needed a prescription refill, I talked to the dr an hr and stated over and over I needed a prescription refill, I’m new to this mental health deal I have, I don’t know the difference between a psychiatrist, psychologist or veterinarian I’m sorry. He waited until the end of the session to tell me he can’t refill my prescription he’s not that kind of dr. I wasted my time, I opened up about my sickness which is not easy for me for nothing . Be up front, I wasted my time when I could have found someone who could actually give me what I need , nice guy though, just out for his self
