I had a very disappointing experience with Allison Poff. My visit started out wonderfully—the front desk staff were incredibly kind, and I was very happy with my care until near the end of my appointment. Without my asking for advice regarding my psychiatric medications, Ms. Poff began criticizing my prescribed treatment and expressing sweeping opinions about psychiatric medications. This was my first appointment with her, and she knew virtually nothing about my psychiatric history or the treatment plan established by the psychiatric providers who manage my care. I was put in the uncomfortable position of disclosing personal psychiatric information simply to defend a treatment I never asked her to evaluate. I found her approach condescending, judgmental, and deeply upsetting. I came to this appointment hoping to establish Ms. Poff as my new primary care provider; instead, I left feeling judged and disrespected, had a tearful drive home, and will not be returning.

I have really been impressed with Lauren Smith. She is very knowledgeable about so many areas of health that I felt very understood. In fact, she tested me for things that none of my other providers ever did and in doing so, she was able to pinpoint exactly the issues going on and treat me for them. I am super happy with her. On one of my visits, I did feel as if she was rushing me a little bit, but she didn’t miss anything at all and it was a productive visit. I think I’ll be sticking with her for the long haul.

Lauren Poff is an amazing provider. I came in needing help with my knee and was expecting yet another steroid injection like every other provider had recommended in the past. Instead, Lauren took the time to really listen and discuss other options with me. She recommended a stem cell injection, and I am so grateful she did.
The results have been incredible my knee feels amazing now, and I finally feel like the root issue was addressed instead of just masking the pain temporarily. Lauren is knowledgeable, compassionate, and truly cares about her patients and their long-term health. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a provider who thinks outside the box and genuinely wants the best outcome for you.
