Process Therapy Institute
Quality, Affordable, Available Care for You Now
As human beings, we all are looking for peace and well-being in our lives. We desire a sense of agency, human connection, and creative flow. However, when traumatic events happen and we perceive that we are broken, or not safe, the experience of pain, grief, anger, and fears can be overwhelming. When it becomes unbearably hard to sustain joy, trust and closeness in your life and relationships, asking for help is a brave step forward. How can you find healing and create desired connections, while not losing your self in the process? How can you let go of habitual judgments, self-deprecation, and shame? The Process Model of therapy helps us to identify the ways we constrict ourselves and release them, allowing the sense of relief and life expansion, resulting in re-connection to self, others, and the world around us.
Who We Are
The Process Therapy Institute is a non-profit and charitable organization, training pre-licensenced clinicians in the art of psychotherapy since 1982. As a diverse community, we have a variety of available, caring and affordable therapists for you to choose from. Our counselors are much like guides that accompany you on your journey of self-discovery; they invite you to look deeper beyond the story, stay in the present moment and keep the focus on yourself. They are trained to respect, trust, and follow your process into and through your unresolved issues, with understanding and openness.
Our Vision and Goals
At PTI we are passionate about providing services of individual, couple, and group therapy to adults, children, and families. We are committed to offer therapy to people of all means and backgrounds by offering sliding scale fees, and we welcome diversity in all its forms. As a community we all are on a journey of self-discovery and self-realization, so let us work together to move in that direction. As we journey toward peace and well-being, we become more able to offer that to the world. Contact us to discover how we can be of assistance to you and your family today.

Lana has a very calm, caring manner about her. She listens well and speaks softly. She made me feel really comfortable and I look forward to going back.

Lana is very calm and you feel very safe and not rushed at all of talking to her. I liked the little things she suggested me to do and made some difference specially on my eating "compulsion" of eat my emotions. I can recognize what part of myself is asking for the food before I order/take it and so on... we may still have work to do related to other things. But Thank you.

Lana helped me through the most challenging and upsetting time in my life. I arrived panicked and in constant distress. Patiently, over many months, she helped me move forward when I was ready. This went from just listening as I worked through panic, to finding gentle times to introduce soft questions, then eventually guiding me to reflect more deeply. Through a combination of Lana's help, my own work, and other resources I was able to get to the other side and I'm feeling happiness again. I have grown significantly as a result of this difficult experience with her help.

Lana is the best therapist I've had the pleasure of working with! I've worked with a decent amount of different people so finding a good one is rare. She is intelligent and provides an experienced angle on perspectives. She is easy to talk to, a good listener, and also good at asking questions.

Lana is an incredible therapist. Now I may not be the most experienced person with therapy, but before I went through Lana I went through two other therapists. I was frustrated because those first therapists had a clear understanding of my situation, but did not have a good understanding of me as an individual and how that influences how I navigate my circumstances. I knew I needed someone who is able to not just take what I say at face value, but be able to put together the pieces of what it says about my overall being.
I was pretty lost when I first met Lana, but I've learned a lot about myself through talking and expressing to her. And although there is still a lot that I'm learning, I feel like I'm at a place in which I'm more confident to navigate uncertainty. I'm more confidently lost. Lana's goal is not to fix your life for you, but for you to find it within yourself to fix your own life. Lana if you're reading this, thank you again for everything.

I have been meeting with Lana for 8 months now. She is compassionate and very patient with me while I navigate through my daily struggles and deep rooted depression She is working with me through my addictions and has advised me on what I need to do to start my recovery. I'm also learning about alternative methods of breathing to help with my anxiety and stress. She is timely and flexible with her schedule. I would highly recommend Lana to anyone that needs gentle guidance especially if it's your first time meeting with a therapist. I am very please with her.

Lana is wonderful individual and family therapist. She has provided a safe space for me to open up about my feelings and emotions. She also taught me to incorporate mindful practices in my daily routine to relieve pain in my body created by stress and anxiety.

I saw Lana for career counseling. She replied to my emails quickly and gave me lots of information about the process before we started and as I progressed through the process. It was very informative to learn about my preferences and why I might have developed these preferences. It also helped me to think about career and fulfillment from different prospectives than I had before. I am still in my career search, but this counseling helped me identify what is missing in my career now and a direction of where to start looking to fill these holes in the future. I recommend Lana and this process to anyone looking to change careers. It was easy to open up and talk to Lana and she lead me through the process with care and always explaining things to me and why we were doing them, which I enjoyed very much.

Lana was my first therapist and she was very professional and patient. I didn’t really know what to expect going in, but I felt comfortable with her as she had me try things I hadn’t before. She was able to help me develop some new ways of thinking about myself and explore my feelings about my behaviors and my beliefs about myself.

Love the therapist listening and accommodating the entire family to the room for the kid first time visit. The progress was great that the kid would want to have one on one time with the therapist

I saw Rachel for a couple of months while I visited in the summer from out of state, and I am thankful that she was so accommodating and patient. She met me where I was, which I really needed. I would recommend her as a therapist.

I was in a very difficult place emotionally. I was having trouble with childhood trauma while starting a romantic relationship. Diana immediately gave me tools to process the trauma. Seeing her made my relationship possible. It has turned out to be the relationship of my dreams. I will be forever grateful to Diana.
SPVerified patient
If I could design the ultimate therapist, Diana is it! She helps by giving me the tools to use and practice while I am navigating the stresses of daily family life. She makes me laugh, keeps me grounded, and guides me when I am having difficulties letting go. I walk out of our sessions with my head held high and ready to face the world with a prideful position. I appreciate that Diana will thoughtfully call me out when I am judging my self and redirects to a more positive attitude. She constantly reminds me how much I have grown. When I first started, I was thinking I am not sure that this process style is for me, but I trusted in her guidance and realized that it did in fact help. I encourage you to trust her methods and allow yourself to step out of your comfort zone and learn to heal. Diana provides you with different tools to help you! She has helped me with anxiety and depression and past trauma. If you are ready to do the work, Diana is there to give you the tools to grow!
