Providers for Healthy Living was formed in December 2011. We provide psychiatric medication management, therapy/counseling (individual, couples/marriage, family, group), DBT, weight management, biofeedback, hypnotherapy, and psychological testing services. At Providers for Healthy Living, our common purpose is hope. We want every patient to feel more hopeful after interacting with a member of our staff. Our practice was built on the values of quality, hope, and personal responsibility. We want your experiences here to echo those values.

Daniel Burkhart, PA-C, is outstanding in every aspect of his work, particularly in medication management. He is thorough, knowledgeable, and consistently takes the time to listen and understand symptoms and real-world impacts of treatment decisions.
What sets him apart is his precision and follow-through. Adjustments are thoughtful, evidence-based, and clearly explained, which builds confidence in the care plan. I never feel rushed or left guessing about why a change is being made.
He also excels at communication and continuity of care. Refills, follow-ups, and coordination are handled efficiently, and he is responsive when issues arise. That level of reliability makes a meaningful difference as a patient.

I would not go back to this provider. Two words I can use to describe my experience were condescending and judgemental. I bawled upon cessation of my appointment because I felt judged for how my symptoms manifest themselves in my life which is why I was seeking help in the first place. I was not listened to and was diagnosed with two different conditions after a 45 minute conversation?! Funny how my therapist of 4 years has not even considered these diagnoses but after talking with this provider for 20 minutes about my medical history she could come to a clinical diagnosis of two more conditions! I felt gaslit, judged, and not heard. I never write reviews like this but feel this was necessary to share my experience and to prevent another patient from receiving the same treatment as I did.

I would definitely reccomend Dr. Oxley! She was super kind and caring but most of all she made me feel comfortable being honest with her and understood when explaining my situation. She was able to give me two referrals and explained they were her close collegues and was confident in them helping with my specific situation. 10/10.

I sought services for my 13-year-old daughter in hopes of receiving a thorough evaluation and diagnostic clarification. While the psychiatrist and I were not the best fit in terms of communication style, I appreciated the opportunity to have my daughter's concerns evaluated. My primary goal is to gain a better understanding of my daughter's needs and obtain an accurate diagnosis so that we can move forward with appropriate treatment and support.
My biggest concern has been the lack of communication and accessibility from the office. The doctor requested that I complete additional paperwork, and I have had questions about the forms and the process. Unfortunately, it has been extremely difficult to reach anyone in the office for assistance. The lack of responsiveness has been frustrating and has created unnecessary delays in obtaining the information and support needed for my daughter's care and upcoming appointment.

I felt really heard and listened to by Dr. Pohar. This is my first time having an appointment like this, and I felt as comfortable as I could be for a newbie. She was easy to talk to! I am actually actively recommending her to a friend! I feel like we were on the same page about what I was hoping for. I was a little more comfortable with a conservative approach, and she was right on board.

I’ve seen Kiera twice. She was friendly while remaining respectful and professional. She is a preceptor for APP students and made sure to explicitly get my permission to include them in the visit. She was thorough, making sure she understood my history & mindful of potential medication interactions and side effects. She gave me clear directions regarding the medication plan as well as lifestyle factors, such as decrease caffeine, be consistent with staying hydrated, etc. I would definitely recommend her as a provider.
