I am a dedicated Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC). With nearly two decades of nursing experience, I am skilled in assessing individual patient needs and formulating, implementing, and evaluating personalized care plans. I am committed to enhancing the quality of care through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. My qualifications include a Master of Science in Nursing from Molloy College and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain College of Nursing. I also have experience as a psych nurse at Brookdale Hospital, where I coordinated a continuum of care for medical, behavioral, and social needs.
My approach to care is rooted in strong clinical judgment and a proven ability to perform under pressure. As a psychiatric nurse, I have experience reviewing and making informed decisions about psychopharmacology and psychotherapeutics to administer to my clients. I am dedicated to providing client education, guiding them in understanding illnesses and treatments. My excellent communication and interpersonal skills allow me to relate well with patients and their families.
In your first session, you can expect to be an active participant in your care. I will accurately diagnose common psychiatric disorders and work with you to develop an individualized care plan. A key part of the session will be education, as I believe in empowering patients and families to improve their outcomes. You will be guided through an understanding of your situation and treatment options so you can feel part of the decision-making process.
