I came in with an existing ADHD diagnosis seeking medication management. I disclosed a documented history of serious SSRI reactions. Dr. Pordal refused to treat my ADHD and pushed the SSRI fluoxetine instead which caused severe shaking and temperature regulation issues within days. My issue is when I reported the reaction I was told to stop the medication and that any further information would require another appointment. I JUST had an hour long appointment with her 7 days ago and she already knew I didn’t tolerate SSRIs well, so this just feels like I’m left with no option! There is no nurse line or direct messaging with the Dr, all communication goes through a receptionist who sends :) smiley faces which feel quite dismissive while going through an adverse reaction.
Im left with an unpaid bill, untreated ADHD, and a drug reaction that I have no information about. I did not feel my concerns were heard or that my care was the priority.
