Psychopharmacology & Psychotherapy

The philosophy of Dr. Yusim’s practice is to help individuals achieve their highest level of psychological, emotional & mental well-being. She does this by helping patients cultivate their inherent strengths and gain insight into their difficulties. Dr. Yusim's therapeutic approach is psychodynamic, existential and action-oriented, helping individuals to create real and lasting changes in their personal and professional lives. If desired by the patient, Dr. Yusim can prescribe psychiatric medication when medically indicated. Although Dr. Yusim does not accept private insurance, she will work with her patients to obtain maximum out-of-network reimbursement for which they are eligible. Payment is due at time of visit and cash, checks and credit cards are accepted. A non-refundable $100 payment is required at the time of making your appointment on zocdoc in order to confirm your appointment time. Dr. Yusim is a cut above the rest. I've been to many therapists over the past 20 years but this doctor has something that I've never experienced with anybody else. When I left her office after my first session, I felt lighter and freer, as though my depression had been lifted. It's strange to say but it felt almost magical. I've only seen her once so far, but from my first experience, she's well worth the money & truly something special. I'll definitely be going back.
Excellent! I really like this doctor. She does not push meds. In addition to discussing medications, she is informed about alternative treatments (supplements, nutrition, acupuncture, exercise, etc). This is also the first doctor who has really gone in depth with me about my spiritual beliefs. This was a breath of fresh air and I found our discussion therapeutic, insightful and uplifting. This doctor is kind, authentic, positive, professional and easy to talk to. I liked her a lot!
My visit was productive, to-the-point, and very helpful. Dr. Yusim is a great listener, and -- equally important -- a great questioner. She is open and collaborative about comparing different treatment options. She conveys honest optimism about the path ahead. I am grateful to be under her care.

Bedside manner is most important to me and she was amazing- kind, gentle- ill be seeing her again. The office setup was the only negative b/c you buzz in and there is no receptionist in the waiting room. Overall great doctor and great experience.
Dr. Yusim is, by far, one of the best professionals I have had the privilege of knowing. First, she listens, she is sympathetic, she participates in your session. Second, she is extremely bright and creative in her approach in helping you come up with what is right for you in terms of a plan. Third, she cares, she truly cares about her patients and she will always get back to you in a timely manner. We all sometimes need that extra help in life. Run, don't walk to her office!!
Thank you with all my heart Dr. Anna. I only attended 3 sessions with her and she accommodated me immediately due to the urgency of my situation. I would say that I reached one of the lowest points in my life due to an accumulation of many different issues. She listened, supported, discussed, provided the perfect and necessary care needed. She is very kind, generous and felt comfortable from the very first minute. She compromised on somethings and I am just so appreciative to now have her as my doctor. I recommend to any and everyone. Simply the best and see also how accomplished she is!

Unless her advice turns out to be poor, which I can't imagine it would be.... she's great. Very easy to talk to, upbeat, and professional. I don't think you could go wrong. I got lucky and got an appointment within 24 hours because someone else cancelled - what a break!
I've seen a number of different psychiatrists over the years and I can say that Dr. Yusim is among the very best. Her rates are on the high end, but it's worth it.
Personally warm and engaging. Incredibly bright, understanding and helps to get you to answer the tough questions rather easily. Comes up with a plan and if you are a willing player, you will end up winning. She's the best I've seen in years.
