Pura Vida Chiropractic
I’m Dr. Dan Foss, DC, and I’ve been helping people get out of pain since 2003. I’ve practiced in Costa Rica, Spain, Ireland, the Netherlands and Guatemala, and I’ve run Pura Vida Chiropractic in San Antonio since 2010. I speak fluent Spanish, and about half of my patients speak Spanish at home. Hablo español.
We test, we don’t guess. Your first visit is a full consultation, exam and X-rays, so we find the root cause of the problem instead of chasing symptoms. On your second visit I walk you through your results, what I found, and what it will take to correct it, so you can decide with clear information.
I’m the only Advanced SOT (Sacro Occipital Technique) certified chiropractor in San Antonio. SOT is a gentle, precise system for balancing the pelvis, spine and skull. It’s a good fit for people who want something other than a quick “pop and go,” as well as kids, pregnant moms and patients who have been through a lot already. I also use cranial work (craniopathy), CMRT, and the Webster Technique for pregnancy care.
For pain that won’t let go, we offer focused and radial shockwave and Class IV laser therapy. Many of my shockwave patients have knee, shoulder, heel or tendon pain and would rather avoid surgery or another injection.
I commonly see:
Low back pain, sciatica and disc problems
Neck pain and headaches
Knee, shoulder, hip and plantar fascia pain
Auto accident injuries
Pregnancy-related back and pelvic pain
Infants and children
Care follows three phases: Calm (get you out of pain), Correct (fix the structural problem behind it) and Strengthen (keep it from coming back). You’ll always know which phase you’re in and why.
We’re insurance friendly and will help you understand your benefits before you start care. If I can’t help you, I’ll tell you, and point you to someone who can.
