Rainbow Spring Wellness

You deserve healing care that welcomes your whole self - care that’s fat positive, queer and trans affirming, anti-racist, kink and polyamory friendly, pagan welcoming, and generally anti-oppression. You can reach the sustainable life you’ve been dreaming of, that brings you joy and makes the world around you better. I’m here to help you get there. -- Hi! I’m Mara Levy, and my pronouns are they/them. I’m a licensed occupational therapist, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and certified lymphedema specialist. I want to build a better world, with more justice, safety, and joy for us all. I think an important way to get there is to heal ourselves, and heal those around us. When we heal our trauma and learn to embrace all of who we are, we can find the freedom to build the life we want. I'm here to help, offering somatic therapy and lymphatic massage. -- Somatic therapy is body-based mental health care for all of who you are. I primarily use a Somatic Experiencing approach, and our work together may include talk therapy, bodywork, lymphatic drainage massage, and co-creating better routines and strategies for your daily life. -- Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle hands-on technique to help your body move fluids more effectively. It's helpful for relaxation, reducing inflammation, managing swelling, and helping with chronic pain or fatigue. -- As a practicing occupational therapist since 2005, I'm well suited to help with medical trauma and chronic health conditions. I understand how the medical-industrial complex can be traumatizing to access, and the ways that pain, fatigue, and other symptoms can impact you. I love working with the LGBTQ+ and trans communities, as I'm queer and genderqueer myself. People who have been pushed out of mainstream acceptability - people of the global majority, people with larger bodies, and other survivors of oppression - are also particularly welcome. Office visits are available in Silver Spring, MD and online visits in DC, MD, VA.
