Best experience with a doctor appointment so far!
This is the second time that I made an appointment with them and I when I got there, they said they didn’t have it scheduled and there was no doctor in the office.

I usually don’t write reviews but feel inclined to share my experience. I scheduled an annual physical with Dr. Chawala on 2/19, but the appointment was rescheduled due to rain. When I came in the following week, I wasn’t seen until about an hour after my scheduled time. The visit felt rushed and incomplete. The physical exam was minimal, and no blood was drawn for standard annual lab work. I was told to schedule a separate appointment, but the front desk said they couldn’t due to issues with the lab technician’s availability. I left about 1.5 hours after my appointment time and was told someone would call me back to schedule the bloodwork, but I never received a call. I ended up seeing another doctor within the UCLA network who saw me promptly, completed a thorough physical and bloodwork, and scheduled next year’s annual visit — all within 30 minutes. The difference in experience was significant, and after this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this office.

The office was a little chaotic on the day I came because apparently ZocDoc was down. I had to re-fill all my forms in person. Otherwise, everything was fine. Dr Chawla was great.

Friendly Office and Danny the phlebotomist is kind and quick! I think Dr. Shelly is awesome but could use more support and coverage.
Firstly, the whole staff is all very kind, patient, and great at their jobs. They're very organized and have good communication. Dr. Chawla herself was also very patient and listened to my questions and concerns. I had been to previous doctors through Excer visits, and none of them were as thorough as Dr. Chawla was. She not only gave me medication to help this cough I've had since Christmas, but also referred me to get my chest x-rayed just in case. She wasn't worried about my health, but she did what she could to help me get answered. I really appreciate her work ethic and demeanor.
This was a horrible experience. The appointment took an hour and a half and they didn’t take any kind of medical history from me whatsoever. Very unprofessional staff that instilled 0 confidence. I do not recommend.
Dr. Shelly Chawla’s receptionist checked me in very quickly when I arrived. I filled out a few forms and shortly after my vitals were taken and then I was placed in a room. Shortly after Dr. Chawla entered and listened to my issue and created a plan for my next steps. Thank you.

The office was wonderful! I was a bit anxious going in, but the whole staff was so kind and made me feel at home. Jane, who helped me fill out all forms and take my vitals, was lovely, the doctor was phenomenal, and Danny, who was my phlebotomist, made me way less scared to get my blood drawn. I’m even a little excited to go back in a year for my next check up :-)

Doctor Chawla is nice but Zocdoc majorly messed up. She doesn’t provide Pap smears, despite Zocdoc allowing me to book an appt for this purpose. Additionally, her office failed to inform me that they didn’t provide the service I was going there for - they even called me to confirm the appointment and still failed to alert me that the appointment would be useless. The administrative team at the office needs to do some soul searching. It was unethical of them to have me come in anyway for an appointment that ended up useless, only profiting the doctor.

During my recent visit, I found the doctor to be dismissive and inattentive while I was describing my health issues. Unfortunately, no solutions were offered to alleviate my pain. Additionally, the policy of charging $40 for any cancellation, regardless of timing, is quite concerning.

Dr. Shelley gave me weird looks when I was describing symptoms, and even said “That’s odd, I’ve never heard of that before” with weird facial expression to one of my symptoms. That did not make me feel heard/comfortable and there was a huge lack of empathy. I was in and out for my annual check up in 15 minutes, where I thought I’d be there for longer.
My visit was so pleasant!! Dr. Chawla was very kind and did a wonderful job listening. Front desk staff is also very sweet & helpful!

I arrived and waited about 5-10minutes. I was taken to a room where a nurse did a basic evaluation. 2 minutes after the nurse was done may Doctor came in and we discussed my medical questions.
