If there is one thing I've learned in 35 years of doing therapy it is that experience counts. When searching for a therapist, no factor is more important than being able to connect with an experienced therapist.
I've worked in hospitals, doctor's offices, and mental health clinics. I've been in senior management at a large psychiatric hospital. I've directed a University counseling center. I've had a thriving private practice.
My goal is to provide top caliber psychological and therapy services. I strive to treat people with respect and to listen carefully to what they have to say to me. I believe therapy is teamwork. We both bring something to the experience in order to bring about needed change.
I believe there is no single therapy approach that fits all people. Everyone is different and every problem is different. It is up to an experienced therapist to offer the right approach for the right client/situation.
I have experience working with clients suffering from depression, anxiety disorders, eating disorders, relationship problems. I have done lots of couples and marital therapy and enjoy that work.
