Recovery Counseling Services
My practice is 100% online and serves the entire state of Michigan. I do not accept Medicaid including Blue Cross Complete for new clients. You can see your therapist from the comfort and privacy of your own home. My clients are adults who are feeling overwhelmed by the stress of life. Their issues might include anxiety, depression, substance use, ADHD, mood swings, relationship problems, work stress, struggling at school (socially and/or academically), suicidal thoughts, self-harm and history of trauma. They need someone who will help them feel safe and comfortable talking through their experiences with a therapist who is non-judgmental and empathic.
I have over 25 years of experience helping people earn how to cope with everyday stressors and symptoms of mental health and substance use disorders. I have education and experience in many different proven plus harm reduction and relapse prevention approaches for substance use.
I look forward to meeting and working with you to help you meet your individual goals, and process uncomfortable feelings. I promise that our relationship with be a non-judgmental, safe space to promote open, honest and authentic communication. Please feel free to call, text or email me.

I was very impressed by how quickly I was contacted by the therepist herself after booking through Zocdoc. I was not expecting that. She called to make sure I didn’t have any questions before our appointment and to let me know there were some emails she would send my way if I had time to fill them out before the appointment. As well as confirm my co-pay amount and give me her contact information if I would need to reach out.
The appointment went smoothly and I feel I have finally found a good match to help me with the perfect balance of pushing me to address issues while still keeping me in a confident and comfortable place. I am hopeful for my future growth Karen will help navigate me though.
Zocdoc made it easy to find a provider that met all my criteria but more so someone who specializes in a very specific area (and one I had trouble finding in the past.)
