Hi there! My name is Lonnie, and I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Board-Certified Master's Level Addiction Professional. I have worked with clients of all ages from various levels of outpatient treatment, detox, residential treatment, and inpatient treatment over the past 24+ years. My specialties are your routine mood disorders (depression, anxiety, anger, & etc.), self-esteem issues, substance abuse, concentration matters, couples/marital problems, and family therapy matters.
I tend to take a very eclectic, creative, and unorthodox approach to the therapy experience. I feel that by no means should therapy be boring and/or non-engaging. I care about my clients, and they see my concern in our live interactions. I understand psychological disorders very well and believe in taking a holistic approach to recovery. I mentor my clients by bridging research and lived experience.
After a therapy session with me, my clients should expect either one of two things: to walk away feeling either empowered or more enlightened by the experience. I teach and inspire utilizing the growth mindset conceptualization.

I always leave my sessions better than I went into them. No matter the topic we deal with it and find solutions. I couldn’t have chosen a better therapist than Lonnie. He makes it easy to open up and get to the root of a problem. I would recommend and have recommended him to friends and family.
