I did not feel as if the appointment was rushed at all, he was able to help diagnose my podiatry concerns and give me actionable solutions as well as insight, such as shoe recommendations and daily stretches to do to help my over-pronation. I would highly recommend this provider and this practice

My appointment was great. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Dr Amirkiai was great. He was very friendly and explained things well. He recommended a few exercises to help and set a follow up plan. Also provided options for insurance to see if my orthopedics were covered.

Dr. Amirkiai was pleasant, caring, understanding doctor and spent actual time with me. He has a gentle touch which is what my feet need. My feet are very painful. He is very knowledgeable and has a great personality. He examined my feet, talked about my problems, trimmed my nails, worked on a couple calluses and made an amazing adjustment to my orthotic that was causing me immense pain. A world of difference standing in my shoe after the adjustment. I highly recommend this doctor, he is everything a great doctor should be.

Office was not clean. Office chairs did not have paper covers. Place smelled like old cigarette smoke. Had to fill out 5 printed out pages of paperwork just to be seen. It’s 2024 and paperwork could be easily handled online, felt like I walked into the 1970s. Doctor suggested surgery would be needed for something that definitely should not require surgery. Look at yelp before you book.

Dr. Amirkiai is one of the best doctors I have had the privilege of seeing. He was super amicable and helpful and did his best to alleviate my pain. He spoke to me in detail about my past issues, footwear and running schedule/pace. I will definitely be seeing him again.

Dr. Mike was funny and forthcoming with his own experiences with feet issues, but when in performing an injection, I feel I was lied when told, "It won't hurt that much because you have tattoos on your feet." The injection was given on my first visit/interaction with Dr. Mike. Unfortunately, I left in more pain than when I arrived. Additionally, I was told I would need orthotics that would cost an exorbitant amount, but would be covered by insurance and that all I had to do was call my insurance to guarantee that this "need" would be covered. When I called in I was told I had to be given a specific diagnostic code (ICD) and if I wasn't given it than I would not be able to have the cost covered.
Returning to Dr. Mike's office a week later for a follow up, he appeared to be shocked at the amount of bruising at the injection site. I wasn't because it was extremely painful. He apologized, but by that point I was disillusioned and disappointed that I didn't get the care I was seeking.

If there’s a review to believe, it’s this one. I’m very picky about who I trust with my care since I’ve had bad experiences in the past so I try to keep it under the Stanford umbrella. However, there was no podiatrist in my area with Stanford so I had to do my homework and find a podiatrist here. I’m so glad I overlooked some of the bad reviews because the experience that I had was incredible. As I walked in I was greeted by a kind and respectful staff. There was even someone on the phone talking a patient through how to get to the office because she didn’t know how to use her maps app. I filled out the typical new patient information paperwork and was quickly brought into the patient room. The drs bedside manners were top notch. He showed me how to properly do stretches for my issues and walked me through the process of my procedure. The office is not the most updated or fancy but the staff makes up for it. Highly recommend!!
