My visit was precise, on time, and comfortable. Exactly what you would want as a first time patient. The environment was comfortable, there was no pressure of any sort and the questions hat needed to be asked per my case individually were asked without hesitation. Dr. Van Schalkwyk is empathetic, responsive, and helpful. He listens to me thoughtfully and comes up with solutions and recommendations based on my struggles and symptoms rather then going down a diagnostic checklist to prescribe meds like other psychiatrists I have seen. He explains the medications and their side effects clearly and provides several options so we can make an informed choice about my treatment together. Overall I highly recommend Resilient Minds Psychiatry and have had a great experience with Dr. Van Schalkwyk!
