Every encounter begins in my private office; and it ends in such, after having jointly visited any of the exam rooms. Respect for everyone’s time is of utmost priority and as such I vow to never disrespect my patients by violating their allotted scheduled appointment.

Doctors’ bedside manner were good but I felt the visit was too short. He listened to my heart, lungs and asked general questions about my health. I was expecting a more thoroughly examination given my age (50+), with questions about prostate cancer, other age related risks, etc. No one was wearing a mask in the practice. That bothered me considering the pandemic is still ongoing. The NP even said she doesn’t believe in the virus which was appalling to hear smth like that coming from a health care worker. Probably not going back.

This was a very quick annual physical exam. I was seen by the doctor within 5 minutes of arriving at the office. Dr. Aquinin was his usual helpful, charming self and ended up doing my blood work himself. I have been Dr. Aquinin’s patient for 4 years now and I’m always impressed by his bedside manner and his level of competence.
Dr. Aquinin is a choice as a PCP. Thank you!

New to Miami Beach, I was looking for a PCP. Dr. Aquinin fit the bill and was exactly what I was seeking. We agreed on the course of care I was seeking.

It is all about money and referring "clients" to his friends who are specialists and pushing for very expensive medications that Health Insurances do not cover. I went for my Annual Physical and my blood test was not done and he advised me to wait one more month trying his expensive medication while combining my current one. When my blood test was ready, the office refused to send it to me arguing it was not the "office protocol" because another office visit is needed after a blood test despite HIPAA regulations.
The Doctor also refused to refill any of my current medications alleging I needed to see his friends who are specialists.
The office staff is unprofessional, not nice, and they are all talking about personal matters and make up in front of you.

My husband and my experience with the doctor were good but his staff is rude and have no sense of client service whatsoever, its just feels that they are making you a favor.
A couple of events to be more specific:
- they changed my appointment time on the day of the visit and when I called to confirm (I had flexibility that day so was really not going to make any trouble) the answer was: “this is the time you have now, do you want to take it or not?”
- any follow up services or administrative work post visit is almost impossible, you have to call repeateadly and pray they will do it.
The doctor is clearly knowledgeable and our first visit was overall positive, its a pity that you have to go through the pre and post visit hussle.
Based on that I would not recommend Ronny Aquinin as primary doctor until he changes his approach to client/patient service, which ultimately is his responsibility.

Save yourself time and money, and go to a different doctor. I waited almost an hour to see the doctor for then less then 5 minutes. I explained my symptoms to the doctor he felt my throat and took a look at it. And said “Your fine, I’m out of COVID tests but there’s a drive-thru clinic near by, I recommend you go because what your describing are Virus like symptoms.” THE DOCTOR TOLD ME TO GO TO AN URGENT CARE TO GET COVID TESTED DURING A PANDEMIC captain obvious, that’s the whole reason I went to the doctor to get medicine and a COVID test. He didn’t give me any medicine either. The following day I still woke up with symptoms, I called and asked if I can have Z pack to help kill the virus or bacteria infection. They said the doctor will call back, in fact he did, after office hours and when I returned his phone call the line wasn’t accepting calls. After I called another 5 times only to receive an answer when I called on private, and still no help. Stay away, go to a doctor that will give you more then 4 minutes of his time.
