I was looking for support in a stressful time of my life between marital issues, changes in my life and other challenges. Joan has been a great help for these times. I have felt heard, seen, supported. I like that she uses different approaches in her therapy, depending what I am facing and need at that time. She is very knowledgeable, personable and professional.

I was drawn to Joan for her focus on managing emotional responses to difficult relationships, stress, illness, etc. She is empathetic, supportive and offers insights and is very easy to talk to. She has techniques she teaches to enhance the mind body connection and deal with emotions in the moment, getting through the situation or difficulty. I highly recommend her.

She cancelled, saying she had technical issues. It was supposed to be our first appointment.

Received an email less than 24 hours prior to my intake assessment informing me that my appointment was cancelled with no explanation why. I called the office the office the day of and they had no record of my appointment being being cancelled. After joining the zoom session to inform the therapist of the mishap, she responded with ‘the technology used doesn’t always work correctly’. No other explanation or apology was offered. When gathering my mental health and social history, therapist made the assumption that living in poverty was due to ‘not being able to hold a job’. Regardless of the intention, your job as a clinician is to meet the client where they are and create an empathetic space. Ignorant comments like these do not foster a healthy therapeutic environment. All in all, I would not recommend this particular therapist.

I highly recommend Irina. We‚Äôve been working together for three years. We started with grief counseling and then transitioned into supportive therapy, where we focused on developing practical tools to help me better navigate life. Now, in year three, I can see myself successfully putting those tools into practice in my everyday life. Irina is thoughtful, supportive, and truly excellent at what she does. Nothing like a person who truly listens. I didnt realize how much I missed and needed that. I've seen improvement. And we have a plan. Being held accountable and expected to do the work. My Dr was concerned about my weight loss after my twin daughter passed away on Christmas Eve 2024, since after testing, there was nothing physically wrong other that my chronic health issues, she thought, I needed to talk to someone regarding my grief, I chose Denetra after reading her brief Bio, she has some of the same beliefs that I. have, working with her has helped with several issues.

Recognizing that I was grieving my sister, i reached out for help and specifically wanted a person of color. I selected Denetra and am happy I did. She was patient with my initial anger and persistent in encouraging me to verbalize what I was and am feeling. She has helped me identify stressors and to address these in sensible, realistic ways.

The doctor never called for my scheduled appointment. When I called him he stated the appointment was for another day. When that day and time came he still never called, answered the zoom, nor did he answer when I called. This app is a joke. Call the number on the back of your insurance card and look for a provider.
