My first visit with Lydia went great. She was a great listener and explained that she mostly does EMDR therapy. We scheduled a time to meet next, but at the appointment time, she did not show up. I messaged her in the portal, and she said she was experiencing internet issues. At our next scheduled meeting, she was in the Zoom and asked me to wait one second. She then hopped off the Zoom and never returned. I messaged her in the portal and asked if she needed to reschedule and she never responded. Today, I received a notification that she had removed me as a patient, with no communication as to why. I found the entire experience completely unprofessional, especially for a mental provider. Fortunately, I am not currently experiencing a mental health crisis, but the communication here could have been much better. I understand that not all patients are a good fit, but some communication as to why she was so inconsistent would have been much appreciated.
