Feeling sad, unmotivated, worried, and anxious for even a short time can be very frustrating especially when it affects your focus and concentration and your ability to complete your day-to-day tasks and responsibilities. Anxiety has you feeling you are falling off a cliff and depression feels like you have already fallen and are unable to move. Almost everyone feels anxious and depressed from time to time and the key is to be able to manage your symptoms effectively. I have been told time and time again, "I just want to return to my level of functioning before the depression and anxiety." There is hope we can make it happen. I will help you gain insight into situations, people, things, or thoughts causing your depression and anxiety. I will also teach you how your thoughts affect the way you behave and feel. Providing you with tools and coping strategies that you can use at all times is important as it will help you manage your symptoms and get you through the day. I feel very strongly about building strong trust and rapport with my clients and I will do all I can to earn your trust and allow you to know that I truly have your best interest. That way, we can meet your treatment goals, with an emphasis on facilitating a positive change in your cognition, behavior, emotions, and optimal functioning.
