Hello My Name is Sabrina Valdez, I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 11 years of experience. I specialize in working with individuals and/or couples that have experienced complex or intergenerational trauma utilizing an eclectic therapeutic approach including the integration of EMDR, CBT, Emotional Focused Therapy and trauma-informed couples therapy. My passion lies in helping individuals and families through the complicated, stressful, and saddening moments of their lives and provide a warm, empowering space to assist you to learn to become Intune with your inner voice (thoughts, feelings), work on dismantling of any unhealthy relationship patterns., and learn ways of healing from those experiences. Difficult life events and relationship stress often live deep inside our physical bodies, traditional talk therapy can sometimes leave people feeling stuck. To help you get relief and help with that stuck feeling, I integrate specialized training in in EMDR and trauma informed couples frameworks to my practice. My practice accepts both clients who choose to use their insurance for mental health services through the Headway website and portal, and I accept clients who choose to pay for mental health services out of pocket solely via Simplepractice.
