Ivy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey; she received her Masters in Social Work from Rutgers about 10 years ago and has been practicing in various settings since. Ivy believes that the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important factors for effective therapy. The safety and security of the therapeutic alliance is most important; Ivy understands the importance of you never feeling judged; that you can feel you are liked, accepted and valued just as you are. Ivy has a big bag of skills; CBT, DBT, ACT EFIT; and she will share these skills with you as you both individualize what works for you; however, it doesn't seem to be the "bag of skills" that creates change for people. Real healing comes from being vulnerable with a safe other; Ivy would love to be that 'safe other' for you.
