I recently had my eye exam at the Sauganash Family Eye Center and overall it was a great experience. The staff was friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, which made the process smooth and comfortable. The check-in was quick, and I didn’t have to wait long before being seen.
Doctor Evan Hapner was very thorough and professional. He took the time to explain each part of the exam and answered all of my questions clearly, which I really appreciated. The equipment seemed modern, and the whole exam felt efficient without being rushed.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a reliable and comfortable eye exam experience.

Dr. Evan Hapner and his staff were amazing. I was seen on time as I arrived a few minutes early. Dr. Hapner was very nice, respectable, honest and straight to the point. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful in getting my new glasses picked out and ordered. I am definitely coming back and highly recommend.

Jossi is helpful as always. She asked before starting a pre-check process before seeing an eye doctor. Today I met Dr Evan Hapner who happened to be very knowledgeable. Not only he's expert for what he does but in overall he's one of the coolest eye doctor I have met. I really appreciate Sauganash Family Care to have Dr Hapner there. Last but not least, Mr Larry is there to get the lenses, frames and insurance information you. He always make sure your glasses will fit you well. Thank you sir.

Dr. Hapner is excellent about explaining what he's doing and answering questions. I was there for a follow up after laser eye surgery and he was realistic and honest about the long-term results I could expect. It felt like two professionals talking about technical work, with no talking down or salesmanship tactics. Refreshing!

The eye doctor was very nice and professional. I called many times trying to make an appointment. I only got one call back. They never seem to answer calls. I let it ring 10time. They never call when my glasses are back. They need a better system.

Very friendly doctor with great bedside manner. However, as a new patient, I was not greeted nor was I directed where to go, so I stood by the front desk waiting past my appointment time for someone to tell me anything. There were many opportunities for them to tell me to please have a seat or to check me in. I wasn’t sure if there would be more forms for mw to fill out outside of Zocdoc as well. In that regard, I was unhappy with my visit.

I was a little wary being that I'm not originally from Chicago and have had some horror stories, but everyone on the staff was super nice and understanding. All of them were extremely professional and Askia Saunders was extremely patient with all the questions I had!
