It would be a lie to say I had never set foot in a therapeutic setting before my first session with Sean. As a guy in my 20s, I'd never dipped my toes in the water of mental health ... or gotten within 100 yards of the pool. I don't say lightly that the 2-year journey with Sean changed the course of my life. I became a more caring, empathetic and thoughtful person. I got to know myself for who I truly am. I became a better partner, friend, son and brother. My relationships improved. My happiness improved. My *life* improved. I did those things in no small part thanks to Sean, who is a brilliant, thoughtful, well-read, and incredibly perceptive clinician. His innate ability to facilitate a relationship of trust immediately jumped off the screen, and his deftness in navigating difficult conversations remains mind-boggling. It can be hard for men to seek help. It shouldn't be. Especially not as long as there are people like Sean there to listen. I recommend him in the highest terms.
