Secure Path Counseling
I don't believe there is such a thing as an ideal client. I believe that healing with therapy can and should be profound and profoundly meaningful, but my approach is to achieve that while being an easy-going provider. I aim to normalize the fact that we are all human. I am not the expert in your life or your experiences and I am not here to tell you there is only one right way to navigate the path to healing and well-being. I don't believe in wasting your time or money. We work together to develop your treatment goals and work to determine the therapeutic approaches that will get you the help and healing you need to achieve them.
I hold a BSN from Baylor University and an M.Ed. in Counseling from Lamar University. I've spent 16+ years working as a nurse, instructor, and counselor. I work with trauma, anxiety, grief, health conditions, and women’s health concerns, approaching therapy through a whole-person lens shaped by my healthcare background.
My own lived experiences shape every facet of who I am and how I approach counseling. The work of being human is often complicated and messy. I want everyone I work with to leave therapy achieving a state of being that is greater than when they started. I am so humbled and honored to have the opportunity to be present and to help you heal and grow.
