Jana is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who also holds certification as a Master Addiction Counselor. She has completed significant post graduate training including certification in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing), Progressive Counting, as well as training in substance use disorders. Jana draws from numerous therapeutic models including Internal Family Systems (IFS), ego states, somatic and attachment based theories, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She specializes in working with adolescents and adults who have experienced traumatic events and traumatic childhoods. I specialize in working with adult & adolescent individuals ages 18 and up. My ideal clients are those that have had difficult experiences in their past that may be getting in the way of their relationships or well-being in the present. I enjoy working with those that may have been labeled sensitive or high achieving adults. I provide a safe place to help individuals get “unstuck” while gently leaning into the pain so that YOU can start living the life that YOU want. I have many tools to help you get “unstuck”. I have experience and interest in working with individuals that meet the criteria for bipolar disorders, personality disorders, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders and post-traumatic stress disorders. Although I recognize the value of diagnoses, I believe that an individual’s humanity comes first and foremost. People are more than just a label or a diagnosis. In fact, most people have met the criteria for a mental health concern at some point in their lives. Sometimes, we need a little extra support, care and/or push in our change process and therapy is one way of gaining that.
