Dr. P did a great job. Office was well used. staff was a bit worn out but end of long day could have been why. Experience was sufficient and I received the expected level of care.

I had a wonderful experience at my appointment with Dr. Penny and the optician who helped me select my new glasses. Dr. Penny was very thorough in his exam and consultation regarding cataract surgery. Susie Beck, my optician was very pleasant, patient and helpful with my selection of new frames. Dear Susie even walked me out to my car holding my defective umbrella in pouring down rain! This gesture was above and beyond her duties and my expectations! Many thanks to Susie and the Shawnee Optical staff in Springfield, Ohio!!!

I recently had an appointment with Dr. Elizabeth Hardin at Shawnee Optical for my first full eye exam in many years, and the experience was excellent from start to finish. The office is modern and high-tech, with new equipment and updated techniques that made the exam feel very thorough but also comfortable.
Did not have to wait long for Dr. Hardin to come in, and both her assistant and Dr. Hardin were very kind and professional. She took her time with me, carefully went over all of the images of my eyes, and explained what she was seeing in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt rushed at any point during the visit.
Dr. Hardin also walked me through my vision options, including glasses versus readers and bifocals versus readers, and helped me think through what would work best for my day-to-day life. If you are nervous about getting your vision tested or worried about what an eye exam might find, I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Elizabeth Hardin.
