Shimmel Acupuncture and Chiro
Dr. Amie Shimmel Handa, Board Certified Acupuncturist and Chiropractic Physician in practice 33 years. She loves people and she really cares! She uses her intuitive guidance, “Dr. Amie thinks out of box”. Problems helped by Dr. Shimmel, Dr. Amie have solved these exact problems with success: Stress related issues, Gut and Intestinal problems, IBS, Burned out Adrenal Glands, Sinusitis, Headaches, Chronic Health issues, Anxiety and Pain. Dr. Shimmel has been a Fellow with the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture since 1989. Additionally, she has completed an Advanced Acupuncture certification course from Lincoln College. Her credentials include earning a Master's Degree with high honors in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at the Midwest School of Oriental Medicine. She received her Doctor of Chiropractic Degree from The National University of Health Sciences.
Through her own struggles with a serious chronic illness, she knows firsthand the pain and suffering patients go through. She knows how to take a health problem and turn it around for vitality and wellbeing. Dr. Shimmel’s goal in life has always been helping people with their health. Why? Because she cares, she has studied the body and knows what works and what doesn't. She knows how to turn around someone’s health so they can feel like their true self again. Nothing is more important to her than helping people achieve their ideal health. That's what gets her out of bed in the morning. She loves it!
