I booked Dr. Tuluca based on the reviews I read, but she had TERRIBLE bedside manners. A doctor should not tell a patient (that they never met before) how they need to lose the same amount of weight they put on. I weigh 191lbs and she made it seem like I was on the side of obesity. Any concerns I voiced, she would make a sarcastic remark to pinpoint my weight. I never felt so insecure about my weight until the time of visit!
When I asked about weight loss meds, she asked me “you can’t lose weight on your own”?insinuating I was lazy to do any workouts. Furthermore, she didn’t do her homework to see if it contradicted with my other medication and my neurologist said it was not recommended as it can exacerbate seizures.
This doctor was so unpleasant, I’d NEVER recommend her to anyone! Sadly, it was my only option at the time since I moved from one town to another. Do your research - there are plenty other doctors and networks you can find through word of mouth or a simple google search!

People don't like going to the doctor, especially for 'tests'. You never know what you're gonna find. In at 8:45am for 'tests' and, of course, mine came back with a surprise with a personal call from Dr. Toluca at 2pm, reassuring me that it was probably nothing, but, the 'not nothing' it might be was pretty bad. I had to return for re-test and she'd have the results 'tomorrow'. Now, we've all heard 'tomorrow' and it usually means 2 min before closing, and we sit around nervous all day for the results. But not Dr. Toluca. Office opened at 8am. 8:02 she calls me with the 'it was nothing'. Even if it was 'something', giving me the news right away tells me she truly understands what it's like on our side of the exam table.

She was terrific exactly what I have been looking for in a doctor. Caring informative asked all kinds of questions listened and let me speak and explained. I wasn’t rushed out of there and she even gave me a little kick in the butt about dropping some weight (believe me I needed it) glad I decided to switch internist and look forward to having dr Tuluca manage my health

This is probably the nicest, cleanest doctor's office I have ever been to. Dr. Tuluca is very knowledgable, personable, and thorough. She really takes the time to get to know you as a patient and get to the root of what is going on. I would highly recommend her.
