Welcome to Shore Psychiatric Services LLC. We provide compassionate, comprehensive, and evidence-based mental health care tailored to the unique needs of individuals across the lifespan. Founded and led by Tammy Lynn Merson, a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with 30 years of dedicated nursing experience, our practice is physically located on the beautiful Eastern Shore of Maryland. We are proud to provide both convenient virtual visits and structured in-person appointments for residents across the state of Maryland, as well as virtual care for residents of Delaware.

We believe that true mental wellness requires a holistic, collaborative approach. Unlike traditional clinics that separate your care, we provide both comprehensive medication management and supportive therapy under one roof. This allows us to combine thorough clinical evaluations with dedicated therapeutic interventions, ensuring that every treatment plan is tailored to your specific goals, lifestyle, and clinical safety.

Adult Mental Health & Life Stressors: Supporting adults navigating the heavy burdens of modern life. If you are feeling completely overwhelmed by the intense juggle of work, parenting, school, relationships, or major life transitions, we provide a safe, therapeutic space to help you regain balance, manage anxiety, and process burnout.
Pediatric Behavioral Health: Supporting children, adolescents, and their families as they navigate complex emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.
Geriatric Neurocognitive & Mental Health: Providing dedicated, sensitive psychiatric care and neurocognitive/memory testing for seniors to optimize their cognitive health and quality of life.
⚠️ Important Practice Policies
To maintain the highest standard of clinical safety, legal compliance, and patient care, please review our practice boundaries before booking:
Controlled Substance & ADHD Medication Policy: We require a comprehensive, in-person psychiatric intake evaluation before establishing a formal treatment plan or prescribing any controlled mental health medications (including stimulant medications for ADHD). Controlled substances will not be managed or initiated via initial telehealth visits.
Required Documentation: If you are seeking continuity of care and are already prescribed a controlled substance for ADHD, you must provide records/progress notes from your last 3 consecutive clinician visits prior to or at the time of your intake.
Geographic & Prescription Restrictions: We treat physical residents of Maryland and Delaware. However, please note that all pharmacy prescriptions can strictly be sent to Maryland pharmacies only. If you reside in Delaware, you must be willing and able to pick up your medications from a pharmacy physically located within Maryland lines. Residents of other states will be cancelled.
Intake Completion: All new patients must complete their digital registration forms at least 24 hours prior to their scheduled appointment time.
