Dr. Mekles has gone above and beyond what I've experienced with any other psychiatrist over the years. He's incredibly kind, responsive, and it's clear he cares about his patients on a personal level. His insights into my case were unique and thoughtful. I'm so happy I switched to his practice!
I saw Dr.Mekles for 6 months. He made me feel uncomfortable during these times (he would always ask if I were dating anyone and stated that he was sure guys would go up to me in bars because I'm attractive) and threw medicine at me every few weeks. I was feeling awful and he suggested electroshock and hospital visits. My therapist was also never able to get in touch with him. Being he was the first psychiatrist I ever saw, I didn't realize how awful his approach was. I now (months and months later) see a psychiatrist who genetic tested me, works with slow but steady medication changes, and I have been doing WAY better. Would never recommend Dr.Mekles.
I cannot say enough good things about this Dr. I went through the worst 4 months of my life, Almost dying from Covid and then getting Diagnosed with Parkinson's. He was kind, always available ( even on his honeymoon) patient and knowledgeable. He showed me the light at the end of the tunnel

Dr. Mekles literally saved my life. After taking a birth control that didn't react well to, I had panic attacks for 4 days straight. Dr. Mekles was incredibly quick to see me and prioritze my mental well being. I called him at 9:30 PM and 7 AM and to both of those he was extremely responsive and caring. Dr. Mekles has been helping me with my bi-polar depression, ADHD, and high anxiety issues. I spent 15 months with other psychiatrists prior who missed diagnosis me. Seems like a great doctor. Did not keep me waiting long. Was very attentive and seemed like he genuinely cared. Very glad he was gable to get me in and help.
He was able to diagnose me immediately although I argued with him about being diagnosed with anxiety and thought I had a sleeping disorder instead, he let me try things my way and I returned and realized it was anxiety after all. Ever since I have been put on the proper medication and life has been so much easier to deal with on a daily basis.
