Dr. Suad Jama is a wonderful provider. She was patient with all the questions (and follow-up questions) I had at my first visit. She was thorough, kind, and was able to help me understand the nuances of the suggested care plan options I had.

I have been here twice and both times it took almost 3 hours to finish my appointment. Each time they told me it would take an hour and then I missed half a day of work. I would not recommend.

Definitely going to a different provider for a second opinion. I had been going to Spa Dental for years with a different dentist and was never told I have any problems with teeth or gums (always floss/brush, never bleed, never had a cavity). This visit was the first time any problems were raised, including recommending several expensive procedures and removing my permanent retainers. She also had quotes for these procedures prepared even before my visit or she saw my X-rays… which makes me very suspicious that I don’t actually need these procedures and she just orders them for everyone. I preferred the previous Spa Dental dentist and probably won’t be coming back.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Saud Jama. I can tell she takes her job seriously and that allows me to feel safe in her care. It was an easy going appointment, she provided me sufficient information about my oral health & the next steps for improvement and better care. I was in and out no long wait times as well. The staff was very kind, patient and informative. The office is very pristine.

The entire place was oddly empty which was the first red flag. Dentist wasn't properly wearing the mask so her mouth and chin were out, defeating the purpose of a mask. She poked my gum with the tool that sprays water, it didn't injure me but I flinched and then she acted like I was crazy because she was just pulling my lip back?? On top of that she told me I grind my teeth and need a mouth guard. Then she pulled up a document saying my patient cost was a very high amount! I asked if that cost was for my appointment today and she said yes for the x-ray, cleaning, etc but only mentioned that was the price of the mouth guard at the very end. I've been to 3 dentists from 2 different states this year and none of them claim I grind my teeth. This whole appointment was wack, never coming again.

Dr. Jama is exceptionally gifted. From the moment I met her I knew I was in good hands. She was polite, knowledgeable, thorough, and skilled. Her staff also treated me well (shoutout to Ashley). Dental appointments are not my favorite, but the office, music, staff, and Dr. Jama put me at ease. I’ve found my dentist in DC!
