Dr. David Shouhed & all the staff were very professional, kind, listening and caring. Dr. David explained everything in detail so that I was able to fully understand what was going on and what should be done about it. I felt that I was really taken care of by the Dr. and all staff. Many thanks to Steven, dental hygienist who took care of my teeth cleaning while I was very anxious and nervous due to my sensitivity. This was the best dentist I've ever been to, I'm never going anywhere else ever again. I've been petrified of the dentist since I was a kid, and once I turned 18 and there wasn't a parent to MAKE me go to the dentist I just stopped going. It had been years since I'd seen a dentist. I called ahead of time and was talked through it by a very nice woman on the phone who was super non judgmental even though I cried while we were on the phone. The dental hygienist was patient, kind and gentle. I had to have a deep cleaning and a number of numbing shots in my mouth; I never thought I would be able to sit still for something like that. He was so kind, and while I did cry a bunch it wasn't really that bad at all. The dentist himself, Dr. Shouhed, was AWESOME. He was so nice, he introduced himself to me as David, he joked around a lot and he made me comfortable and helped me through my cavity filling which I'd put off for years. I wish I had more characters so I could write more, 100/10 Dr.

Someone who is chronically nervous over any type of dental or medical appointment…I was instantly at ease with Dr. David’s great communication skills and friendly staff. I was treated with respect and cared for it every step of my appointment. I couldn’t be more thrilled I chose Dr. David through Zocdoc. The reason of my visit was to get a dental cleaning.
The staff was very nice and friendly.
My complaint is because they made me feel like they were more focused on my money instead of my dental health.
They tried very hard to sale me costly treatments, which I know would help me, but they kept insisting that I had to buy this whole highly expensive package with a new laser treatment to heal my gums, as if I had no other option, felt like I must get the package or let my dental health deteriorate.
At the end, I chose not to do any treatments “blindfolded” without doing any research or get a second opinion, so I left one hour and a half later feeling terrified about my dental health.
It’s a shame because the staff was very attentive but it was a waste of time. I was only able to get my X-rays by email after a few requests.

I always panic and get nervous going to the dentist purely because I'm anxious about the unexpected. Dr Shouhed walked me through the entire process prior to my treatment and assured me that I can pause at any stage if I felt any pain or discomfort (I felt neither at all). It was such a pleasant experience and the entire staff are so friendly. I cannot recommend SPDG enough.

I think I can say, without any sense of hyperbole or sarcasm, that this was the best medical-related experience I have ever had. There is something unique about this office, it feels comfortable. Everyone is approachable yet act continuously with consummate professionalism. I had full confidence in every step of the process and felt free to ask questions, i felt my concerns were addressed, my anxieties calmed.
I can't believe i would say this, but i look forward to coming back and working with David and the rest of his team.

I loved my experience here! From the front desk to the chair everyone was so friendly and helpful. The cleaning was soooo thorough and they helped me treat some early gum disease I had before it got bad. They also made a plan to fix some bad dental work that is affecting my gum health and even set me up in a way that would help me to come out of pocket in a minimal way. They truly are smile perfecters!

I highly recommend Dr Shouhed. Dentists give me so much anxiety and he picked up on this and right away put me at ease and was very mindful on how he worded what needed to be done. He also didn’t try and push unnecessary procedures which was why I had so much anxiety. Today I just went in for X-rays and next week i go back to start on crowns. He suggested doing 1 crown at a time so I don’t get overwhelmed. I just can’t believe how it switched from me being scared to now being almost excited to get my teeth fixed.
The office staff was great too. They were very welcoming and friendly.
My only regret is that I didn’t find him until now.
So happy he popped up in my google searches.

I love Dr. Shouhed's office. The view is incredible and they have state-of-the-art cosmetic dentistry practices and equipment. David is a gem, I would highly recommend him to anyone who asked.
My only note: parking fees are quite high. Street parking available a few blocks away, but not necessarily the most walkable neighborhood. Would be nice if there was at least partial validation.

Dr. Shouhed is fantastic! Going to the dentist is a little unnerving, but his demeanor is so fun, friendly, and calming, that it immediately puts you at ease. I'm so happy I finally found a dentist who is compassionate, knowledgable and takes the time to explain things. He is always upfront with all costs without any pressure, which is hard to find in LA. If you're looking for a new dentist, go see Dr. Shouhed!
