Since 2018, Sound Cancer Care has been committed to bringing advanced cancer treatment, diagnostic imaging, and innovative radiotherapy services to the local community, combining sophisticated medical technology with personalized, compassionate patient care.
Our practice provides comprehensive radiation oncology services, advanced diagnostic imaging, radioligand therapy, and functional radiotherapy for a broad range of medical conditions. We believe patients deserve access to exceptional specialty care close to home, without unnecessarily traveling to larger metropolitan medical centers. By combining experienced physicians, modern treatment technology, and a dedicated clinical team, we deliver individualized care designed around each patient's diagnosis, treatment goals, and overall well-being.
Radiation Oncology and Cancer Treatment
Sound Cancer Care provides comprehensive radiation oncology services for patients with a wide variety of cancers. Our physicians develop individualized treatment strategies using advanced radiation delivery techniques designed to maximize tumor control while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissues.
Our radiation oncology services include:
Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)
Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS)
High-Dose Rate (HDR) brachytherapy
Image-guided radiation therapy
Electron beam radiation therapy
Comprehensive radiation oncology consultations and treatment planning
We treat a broad range of malignancies, including breast, prostate, lung, brain, spine, head and neck, skin, and other cancers. Radiation therapy may be used independently or in combination with surgery, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other systemic treatments, depending on each patient's clinical circumstances.
Our physicians work collaboratively with medical oncologists, surgeons, primary care providers, and other specialists to coordinate treatment and ensure continuity of care. We emphasize clear communication with referring physicians and individualized treatment plans that reflect current evidence and the unique needs of each patient.
Advanced Diagnostic Imaging
Accurate imaging is essential to cancer diagnosis, staging, treatment planning, and disease monitoring. Sound Cancer Care offers advanced PET/CT and CT imaging services to support comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and treatment decision-making.
Our imaging capabilities include:
PET/CT imaging
PSMA PET imaging for prostate cancer
DOTATATE PET imaging for neuroendocrine tumors
Cerianna PET imaging for appropriate breast cancer evaluations
CT imaging for diagnostic evaluation and radiation treatment planning
By combining anatomical and metabolic imaging, our PET/CT services help physicians identify and characterize disease, evaluate treatment response, and develop more precise treatment strategies. We strive to provide timely imaging appointments and efficient communication of results to patients and their referring physicians.
Radioligand Therapy
Sound Cancer Care offers advanced radioligand and radiopharmaceutical therapies that use targeted radioactive compounds to deliver treatment to specific cancer cells or tissues.
Our radioligand therapy services include:
Pluvicto (lutetium-177 vipivotide tetraxetan) for appropriate patients with advanced prostate cancer.
Xofigo (radium-223 dichloride) for eligible patients with prostate cancer that has spread to the bones.
Lutathera (lutetium-177 DOTATATE) for appropriate patients with certain gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors.
These specialized therapies represent an important advancement in precision oncology, allowing treatment to be directed toward specific biological targets while limiting exposure to other tissues. Our team coordinates patient evaluation, treatment administration, and follow-up care to provide a comprehensive treatment experience.
Functional Radiotherapy
In addition to treating cancer, Sound Cancer Care offers functional radiotherapy for selected nonmalignant conditions. This specialized application of low-dose radiotherapy uses carefully planned, low-dose radiation to address inflammatory and degenerative conditions affecting joints, tendons, connective tissues, and other structures.
Functional radiotherapy offers an additional treatment consideration for patients who have persistent symptoms despite conventional therapies or who are seeking alternatives to more invasive interventions.
Conditions evaluated for functional radiotherapy include, but not limited to:
Osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease
Plantar fasciitis
Tennis elbow (lateral epicondylitis)
Dupuytren's contracture
Keloid scars
Treatment is individualized based on the patient's diagnosis, symptoms, medical history, and prior treatment experience. For appropriate conditions, treatment typically involves a series of 6–10 short visits over approximately 2–3 weeks. Our team provides education about the treatment process, expected outcomes, potential risks, and available alternatives so patients can make informed decisions.
We are committed to expanding awareness and access to functional radiotherapy as an additional option within comprehensive musculoskeletal and inflammatory disease management.
