Dr Kamerling is my favorite eye doctor I've ever had. His speech is dry, but his knowledge is plentiful. I personally prefer this to someone who is cheerful and wanting to talk about the weather. He's straight and to the point. And if I can say a joke, and he cracks a smile, it makes my day. I never wrote a review for him before because I know some people may prefer the peppy-type of bedside manner. But I'm sure there are plenty people like me that don't feel like forcing a smile or talk about the humidity in Summer. If you want a good doctor who is chill and all about the facts, he's your man.

Simply Amazing Doctor. He was empathetic, professional and EXTREMELY Thorough. I have been going to eye professionals of all sorts for over 3 decades and I Have Never had an experience like this. He was so great and I finally had a doctor take his time with my issues. I would recommend this doctor to my friends and family. I am looking forward to my follow up

I was very happy with my experience with Dr. Joseph Kamerling! I needed an appointment with an ophthalmologist for a second opinion within a certain time frame, because I was having "buyer's remorse" about an eye surgery I had scheduled, and Zocdoc found Dr. Kamerling for me. He had an opening the following day so I grabbed it! Dr. Kamerling gave me a thorough eye exam and patiently answered all my questions! As a result, I was able to make a decision about my upcoming surgery that I felt confident about! I would absolutely recommend Dr. Kamerling to a friend or family member!

I chose an ophthalmologist this time because I wanted a more thorough eye exam than I had recieved from chain optometrists and I was not disappointed. Definitely a positive and productive experience.

I was seeing an eye doctor who said I was pre-glaucoma and I wanted a second opinion. I saw Dr. Kamerling yesterday, and he used much more high tech, up-to-date equipment that gets more accurate results, and he let me know that I am, in fact, NOT pre-glaucoma and the other doctor was wrong!!! I'm so glad I was able to get a second opinion and so glad I found Dr. Kamerling!! He's a great listener, and I highly recommend!

As a 50 year old former U S Marine I found my experience with Dr Kamerling and his ENTIRE staff 110% professional and satisfying. His staff was very compassionate and professional explaining everything they were doing and the instruments they were using and Dr Kamerling was a " blunt , to the point straight shooter " who didn't passify me or " sugar coat " anything . He actually scolded me for not getting an examination or adhering to medical advice regarding my vision earlier in life. So if you're looking for a no bs approach to your vision care he is your man . I would HIGHLY recommend his office to ANYONE. The onsite staff even contacted my insurance provider and showed me all of the frames that were covered and a detailed list of co-pay options available to me. I would give this office 6 out of 5 stars !!!!!

I saw Dr. Khawar, who I was informed was the doctor who handled contact lens wearers. She was very nice and professional and the appointment was fast.
My only criticism would be that I was not warned that my eyes would get several drops that would blur my vision. If I had known, I would have scheduled my appointment later in the date.
