Southern Medical Care
At Southern Medical Care we strive to make our patients’ lives easier. Our goal is to offer affordable family health care to residents of Hattiesburg and the surrounding areas. Dr. Otaigbe and nurse practitioner Tatum Johnson can also treat some minor trauma and injuries that can save you a trip to the ER. We accept most insurances (including Medicare and Medicaid) and offer discounts to those who are uninsured. Southern Medical Care is also equipped with an in-house lab with trained phlebotomists and a X-Ray imaging room with certified technicians so that you may have all your services done in the same visit.

Tasha is awesome. I really enjoy our interaction. She is very knowledable and friendly. Linda is the New person drawing blood and she did a great job. I have rolling veins and she drew blood on first try. The receptionist is friendly and efficient.

I went to the clinic for an annual visit while home from work. I had another appointment scheduled to have an DOT physical done and was advised that they could do the DOT physical as well if needed. The staff was very accomodating and I was able to have my annual physical done and my DOT physical at one stop. I love the staff there and has now established care with the NP Tatum Johnson. The clinic is welcoming and the time makes it easy for me to schedule there.
