Sozo Lifestyle Medicine

Dr. Young is a Lifestyle Medicine and Emergency Medicine physician. She practices Lifestyle Medicine using a subscription based practice (based on the direct primary care model) incorporating urgent visits that are free for members and reasonably priced cash-pay for non-members. Dr. Young believes the foundation of health lies in lifestyle. She coaches her patients in areas such as nutrition, staying active, sleep and stress management and offers weekly classes in these topics and more. Her hope is to help people improve their health in order to reduce or eliminate the need for chronic medications. In addition to lifestyle medicine, Dr. Young uses her skills as an emergency medicine physician to see patients with more urgent concerns- such as small procedures like laceration repairs and abscess drainage, as well as UTIs, strep throat etc. This service is free for members and reasonable priced for non-members. Dr. Young does not take insurance and, unfortunately, due to regulations outside of her control she is unable to see patients who are on medicare.

Fantastic experience with Dr, Young! She was very professional, great listener & asked terrific questions that allowed me to recall & explain medical situation with ease! She has a lovely bedside manner, very personal & was genuinely interested in how to help address my needs! Her approach & style were such so delightful and I felt heard! My appointment was scheduled & she was able to see me this week. We created a plan together to see all of the options that she offers & how to address what i need now & what i will need soon & what I’ll need annually & in the future! BEST EXPERIENCE!! Love working with her & grateful for the personalized attention to detail & very thorough. Received a confirmation call for my appointment & made sure I had all I needed with me before i arrived! In my experience, Dr. Young is a great doctor from a technical standpoint. She did a great job stitching up my face. I also really appreciate her calm demeanor. She really comes across as someone who sincerely cares about what is going on with your health. I like that I never feel rushed. Even though I know Dr. Young is not going to spend all day with me, it feels like she would if that's what it took. Further, I like her business model. For my family, it makes a lot of sense to have access to an office like this. A variety of health related services are available under one roof at a fixed cost. Excellent.
