Dr. Wiener is definitely an old school psychiatrist. He is friendly but not overly warm and fuzzy. He dove right in with the questions, but started with less personal things so it felt easy to talk about. He definitely has a lot of experience and a lot of opinions on what he thinks will help someone or not, and I can see how someone who doesn't have experience advocating for themselves in a medical setting might feel like they aren't being listened to. I really appreciate that he gave me his phone number so I was able to reach him directly when I was having issues.
He was attentive and seemed to actually care and troubleshooted and went over his thought processes with me and made me feel like an active participant in my care and wanted to make sure I understood why he was prescribing what he prescribed. I felt like a human. I absolutely recommend him.

I highly recommend Dr. Stephen Wiener if you’re look for a psychiatrist. Scheduling was a breeze which is a very important factor for me considering the negative experiences I’ve had trying to get mental health services. My visit was excellent and I am pleased to be under his care. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful during my visit and Dr. Wiener made me feel comfortable and relaxed as he was very attentive and asked a lot of questions to better understand my mental heath history. He has a calm and relaxed demeanor and I could sense genuine compassion for patient care as well as exceptional knowledge in the field of psychology. His expertise gives me confidence in my care and I am pleased to call him my psychiatrist. I will be a patient of his as long as he is practicing. Highly recommend Dr. Wiener!
He looked down at notepad almost he entire time. He took very basic family notes and Never asked me why I was even there. Time was up and I left wondering what the heck happened?? Unbelievable!
As previous have said his office isn’t immaculate, but I am sure those who need nice and clean are OCD. They say to see people with mental health there ha to be some kind of quirk to them. His messiness is his quirkiness. He was shaven, well groomed, dressed appropriately all good things in my book. First visit was what I expected and hopefully next month will be just as good. If you are looking for someone who will listen, but be honest with you then see Dr. Weiner.

I am writing this as a warning to other patients to avoid Dr. Weiner. I saw Dr. Weiner over the span of 6 months. The incredible disarray of his office cannot be understated, but that is the least of my worries. Dr. Weiner is extremely arrogant and did not take my concerns about how a certain medication was affecting me seriously. He instead chose to argue with me about whether I was actually experiencing the side effects I was describing, and told me to just "act the way I normally would when not on the medication" when these side effects arose. As a psychiatrist, many of the medications Dr. Weiner prescribes have the potential for both addiction and negative side effects. To not take the time to listen to your patients and hear their concerns is extremely worrisome. I highly recommend that nobody see him, and that his current patients receive second opinions.

As some others mentioned--his office is unbelievably messy--its a miracle he does not get lost in there. However, he has a very relaxed manner than made me feel very comfortable. He listened attentively and seemed to really care about finding the right treatment/dosing for me. Also no wait at all to be seen which was great. I'd recommend him overall.
Highly quirky, odd man but seems to know what he's talking about. His office is insanely messy, almost to the point of it being comical, but otherwise I'm genuinely content with him and his services.
What a pleasant visit! Dr. Wiener was extremely professional, knowledgeable and a fantastic listener. He took the time to really understand the reason for my visit and to get to know my background. I did not have to wait at all which is a huge bonus. I highly recommend Dr. Wiener.

I have seen a lot of psychiatrists and although Dr. Weiner is not "conventional" he is very intelligent and can pick up on things during our sessions before I realize myself. Highly recommended.
Strangest experience I've had with a mental health professional. His office was in complete disarray. Pill bottles scattered on the floor, papers everywhere, and he was on his laptop the entire time. He insisted that he was very skilled in my particular situation. He seemed to not listen to anything that I said and attempted to prescribe unnecessary medication. He also has not returned my phone calls for the past week and has not returned any of my pharmacy's phone calls for a prescription refill. Currently looking for a new doctor. I do NOT recommend this doctor.
