PPO patients welcome. We accept most PPO dental plans as an out-of-network provider, and we submit claims to your insurance on your behalf. If your plan includes out-of-network benefits, you can use them here. How much is reimbursed depends on your plan.

About us: Sunny Dental Care is a multi-specialty dental practice in SoHo, Manhattan. Our general dentists, board-certified periodontist, and board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon work together under one roof, so most of your care, from routine checkups to specialized treatment and surgery, can happen in one familiar place. We care for patients of all ages.
Working as one team means your dentists can review your case together and coordinate your treatment plan. You don't have to repeat your history, transfer records, or travel between offices for most procedures.
Our team:
General dentists: Dr. Jonathan Kim, Dr. Daejin Kim, and Dr. Sookyeong Park.
Periodontist: Dr. Wonseok Jang, board-certified periodontist (Diplomate, American Board of Periodontology), Assistant Professor of Periodontics and Assistant Director of the Postgraduate Periodontics Program at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeon: Dr. Chang Min Richard Yim, board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and Assistant Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine.
How we practice:
Care based on scientific evidence. We hold ourselves to high standards of care based on current scientific evidence and clinical guidelines. Our treatment methods, materials, and equipment are chosen because research supports them.
Surgery by specialists. Specialized surgical treatments, including gum surgery, bone grafting, dental implant surgery, and oral surgery, are performed by our board-certified specialists, Dr. Jang and Dr. Yim.
Only what you need. We recommend treatment that is necessary and has a predictable result. If something isn't predictable, we tell you directly so you can decide with clear information.
Digitally planned implants. Each implant is planned using a 3D CT scan and a digital scan of your mouth, which are used to make a custom surgical guide for your case.
One quoted fee. For implant treatment, your quoted fee includes the CT scan, X-rays, surgical guide, and post-op visits. There are no add-on charges later for those items.
Clear explanations. Every visit includes a careful exam, a plain explanation of what we find, and a treatment plan built around your needs and preferences.
Respect for your time and privacy. Our team helps with flexible scheduling and insurance claims, and keeps your information confidential.
Our services:
General and family dentistry: checkups and cleanings, fillings, crowns, bridges, root canals, emergency visits, and preventive care for children and adults.
Cosmetic dentistry: teeth whitening, veneers, cosmetic bonding, and smile makeovers.
Periodontal (gum) care: gum disease treatment, deep cleanings, laser-assisted gum treatment, gum grafting, crown lengthening, and regenerative procedures to rebuild lost gum and bone support.
Oral surgery and implants: tooth extractions, wisdom tooth removal, bone grafting, digitally planned dental implants, and IV sedation provided by our oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
Also available: orthodontics, sleep dentistry, and Botox.

SUCH AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE!!! Omgoodness, I don’t even know where to start! The office is incredibly communicative and punctual with appointment reminders. They also make sure to call or text if they need any additional information from me before my appointment.
Dr. Kim is so informative, helpful, and genuinely caring. He really takes the time to explain everything and cares about both the health of my teeth and my smile. He offered me different options and helped me plan for the future of my dental health, which I truly appreciate.

I had a fantastic experience at Dr. Kim's office as a new patient! The office is conveniently located near Canal Street, which was a major draw for me. I was greeted warmly by the staff when I arrived for my appointment and was seen within 5 minutes. As far as routine cleanings go, my experience was fairly standard—no fancy dental technology or cutting-edge tools. But the service from Dr. Kim throughout my appointment was kind and efficient, which I value far more than any new bells and whistles. Plus, at no point did I feel like Dr. Kim was angling to get me to sign up for unnecessary/expensive treatments. After setting up my next cleaning I received a generous goodie bag stuffed with cleaning supplies galore—a thoughtful touch. I highly recommend Dr. Kim's practice for anyone on the market for a new dentist!

This is the first time a dentist cleaned my teeth in multiple stages including scrapping the buildup as well as flossing.
