Dr. Cottrell is the first psychiatrist in a long time who made me feel truly heard. While many psychiatrists I’ve seen in the past seemed rushed and spent only 5–10 minutes with me, Dr. Cottrell spent well over an hour during my first appointment. He was patient, attentive, and took the time to understand my history and concerns instead of treating me like just another name to cross off the schedule. Although it was only my first visit, I left feeling confident that he genuinely cares about his patients and will continue to provide that same level of attention in the future. In many ways, the experience felt like seeing a concierge physician because he operates independently rather than through one of the large healthcare systems where it’s easy to feel like a number. Dr. Cottrell treated me like a person. For the longest time he was not taking new patients. Having had problems with my last Dr seeing Dr.Cottrell was like a breathe of fresh air.
