Sydney Pollock-Tobert LCSW

Looking for a therapist for you, your child, or your family can be challenging. It can be hard to find someone who is the right fit. I am a licensed clinical social worker working with children of all ages, families, and adults. I also hold a speciality in perinatal and postpartum, including perinatal loss. I have experience working with those who have experienced traumatic events, grief and loss, anxiety, depressive symptoms, divorce/separations, behavioral concerns, family conflicts and life transitions. In our sessions together, I use an eclectic approach of modalities including play therapy, talk therapy, psychodynamic theory, Child-Parent Psychotherapy, trauma-informed therapy, the Ackerman Relational Model, Interpersonal Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In my practice, I offer a warm and empathetic approach that is centered around your needs. Please note, I do NOT accept insurance. Clients with out of network benefits can submit super bills to their insurance for reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary from insurance plan to insurance plan.

Sydney is fantastic. She is such a thoughtful and compassionate therapist. She makes me feel so supported while also challenging my thinking to better my self. I know my life is better because of our work and I am so grateful I found her. I would highly recommend Sydney to anyone and

We have been blown away with the progress our son has made with Sydney! She takes the time to explain to us what the process is and what she's observing. She's been incredibly patient with us, and open to whatever our son throws her way. We've seen such a change in him in the time he's been working with her. He's made huge strides in addressing the issues we came to Sydney with. Sydney took time to bond with our son and get him comfortable with the space and her. She moved at his pace before gently helping him along when he was ready. We didn't initially understand all the in's-and-out's of play therapy, but we are huge fans now and cannot recommend it and Sydney more highly if you child is dealing with any kind of anxiety or social challenge.

She is the best I’ve ever seen. I felt so comfortable with her. Building a relationship with a therapist and knowing you can trust them is key for me and I felt that right way. Mrs. Pollack -Tobert communicates well, and is very nonjudgmental.

I've been seeing Sydney Pollock-Tobert for 2.5 years and in the time since meeting her have become considerably more thoughtful about my experiences, relationships, and self-image. Sydney encourages me to lead our sessions and provided helpful insight and feedback without judgement. Without her guidance I would feel less comfortable setting boundaries and expressing myself in difficult situations. I highly recommend her services to anyone looking to start therapy.
