After years of trying different anxiety medications psychiatrists, I finally found someone who truly listened to me. Dr. Lisa George didn’t just glance at my chart or rush through our session, she looked at me as a person, not just a diagnosis. For the first time in a very long time, I felt genuinely seen and heard.
She took the time to understand my experiences, my history, and my goals. Together, we created a thoughtful plan moving forward, and for the first time in years, I’m actually feeling hopeful. It’s rare to find a psychiatrist who combines compassion, professionalism, and a deep sense of care. I’m incredibly grateful to have found her.

Completely unprofessional. First, they canceled the appointment when I had to wait around 2 weeks for that. Then, they call me 30 minutes before the rescheduled appointment to tell me that they do not take my insurance. They had around one month to verify that. They did not respect my time. It is unbelievable that a person who works in mental health, does not care about the importance of one scheduling appointments.

I came in seeking clarity and documentation for my symptoms, which another provider later diagnosed as ADHD. During my session, the provider acknowledged my struggles with anxiety and even stated she would document it. However, when I checked my records, anxiety was nowhere to be found. Instead, she labeled it as a ‘normal reaction to stress.’ This dismissal was frustrating, especially after I clearly described ongoing struggles that impact my daily life.
If you’re looking for thorough and supportive mental health care, I’d recommend seeking a provider who truly listens and follows through on their word. Thankfully, I pursued in-depth testing elsewhere, which confirmed what I already knew.
