Texas State Optical Briargrove has been serving the Westheimer area, Westside Houston, Galleria and the surrounding Houston, Texas areas since 1997. Our TSO Briargrove eye care office is located on Westheimer Rd at Greenridge in the Briargrove Shopping Plaza, between Hillcroft and Fountain View.
Our Briargrove eye doctors can diagnose and treat all types of eye infections, allergies, and dry eye conditions as well as diagnose glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetes related conditions such as diabetic retinopathy. In most cases, your medical insurance may cover these types of treatments and diagnosis.
At the Briargrove eye care center, you, the patient, are important to us and each comprehensive eye exam and prescribed treatment are tailored to your individual needs and concerns. Our Briargrove optometrist will ask questions such as: “how many hours a day do you use a computer?” or “do you drive after dark frequently” in order to help determine the best course of action. Based on the results of this thorough examination, we are then able to prescribe eye wear and/or contact lenses that give you the best vision and comfort that fits your lifestyle.
Serving Galleria, Westheimer, and surrounding communities for more than 15 years, our office also contains a high-fashion optical store for your added convenience. We carry major frame brands such as Gucci, Tom Ford, Lindberg, Dita, FaceaFace, Caroline Abram, Flexon, Rayban, and many more eyeglasses. If you don’t see what you are looking for in our office, we can always assist with your special-order needs.
We also fit all major brands of contact lenses. Our doctors specialize in fitting speciality contact lens for keratoconus and post transplant patients. Dr. Ayesha Butt is one of the few providers who can fit the very first FDA approved myopia control contact lenses called MiSight from Cooper Vision. This prevents your near sighted children from getting worst. She also use orthokeratology or over night contacts to correct your vision while you sleep at night.

She couldn’t be nicer! She genuinely wants to help people. She was genuinely thrilled with my results – First time I could see!
This lady is into contacts because she knows what they can do. I was not a believer – I just wanted my glasses. I never had any luck with contacts.
My vision was so bad – it could no longer be 100 percent corrected with glasses. I wore glasses all day long, and my world became smaller. I struggled to see the laptop; I struggled in meetings to see projected presentations; I struggled everywhere!
It took six months and a lot of patience, but Dr. Butt got the perfect prescription, the perfect sizing – and now my contacts have become part of me. And she coached me through the process of putting them in (not an easy task for someone who doesn’t even like eyedrops). But I cannot wait to put them on in the morning when I wake up and I wait until the last minute, taking them off at night right before bed.

The visit was great !! Getting your eyes exam is important. The doctor can detect disease of the eye early and treat it right away .. I’m glad to call Dr Butt my eye doctor she’s the best. She cares about her patients vision.
