Rude and unorganized front office staff. The receptionist forgot to return my ID/insurance card and when I asked to give them back, she was looking for mine and ended up telling me she thinks that she gave them back to me where I clearly remember she did not. She finally found them at her desk and gave them back to me without any apology.
Furthermore, the treatment plan they showed me only the out of pocket money that I have to pay. It did not show the details regarding how much my insurance covers the portion or anything, which is very suspicious. They were also pushy to make me buy their prescription toothpaste/mouthwash - I never had that kind of experience at other dentists.
I'm not going to come back.

Dr. Sheily is a very knowledgeable and down to earth dentist who takes my concerns about numbing and sensitivity seriously (finally!!). I have a fair amount of work that needs to be done but I didn't feel pressured into any higher priced services. I also appreciate the conservative approach to addressing issues. I was honestly expecting my bill to be much higher after my first visit but was pleasantly surprised. Thanks Dr. Sheily!

The staff did not use basic sanitary practices like covering x ray attachments with disposable plastic and I was biting on things that did not feel clean and the dentist would be in my mouth and then type on her computer back and forth

I hadn’t kept up with my dental care for years. Life got hard, and I stopped taking care of myself. I came in with a broken, infected tooth and a lot of fear, but from the moment I booked the appointment everything went smooth. The staff was kind, the hygienist explained every step, and Dr Sheily was warm, straightforward, and has a great sense of humor… its what I needed at that moment.
Long story short the tooth couldn’t be saved… When the extraction was done I was overwhelmed and started crying. A mix of anxiety, shame and guilt for letting it get so bad, gratitude that it was done… Dr. Sheily didn’t skip a beat. She stood up and hugged me (I was sobbing on her shoulder) and said, “It’s going to be OK. We’ll take care of everything. And we’re not gonna let it get this bad again.” I couldn’t talk because my mouth was full of gauze and numb but I felt that in my heart. I felt understood and cared for.
She has a patient for life and I have my next appointment already set up. 10/10

Very impressive and highest technology x-ray and imaging equipment to get a complete assessment of my teeth. The team coordination was well managed. The final assessment was fully explained and I look forward to the follow up appointment in a few weeks. It was a good choice to choose this dentist to replace our previous dentist who has retired.

Everyone was so kind and very professional. I feel everyone did a fantastic job. I enjoyed the whole staff.
The only thing I felt that could make it better is more room between chairs so the staff can move around more efficiently. Especially being able to maneuver the large X-ray equipment around.

Got hit with so many upsells (they seriously tried selling me a toothbrush) that I couldn't tell what services were actually necessary. Long wait, poor bedside manner, do not recommend.

really thorough. the first time dentists have ever taken so much care to explain everything going on with me, and making me feel in control. did feel a bit like the front desk lady was trying to sell me things (toothpaste, special toothbrush, etc.) but besides that it's a great place

I can’t recommend Dr. Sheily enough! This was by far the best dentist’s office visit I’ve ever had. The staff is so friendly, the wait time was so short, and Dr. Sheily and her staff go out of their way to listen to your concerns and let you know what they’re doing and why they’re doing it. Such a great experience :)

I enjoyed my very first visit to Melrose Dentist. Dr. Leora and her staff were super welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was taken great care of throughout the entire time. The communication was clear and the examination was really thorough. I would certainly recommend anyone to see Dr. Leora and her dental clinic.
