The Mooring Point is a new, small psychiatric mental health practice in Bakerstown, PA, led by PMHNP Wilson Smith. We believe meaningful, lasting change often requires more than medication alone. Our approach combines individualized medication management with brief therapy, incorporating evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT) when appropriate. As a small, patient-focused practice, we are intentionally different from larger healthcare systems. We believe patients deserve to be heard, understood, and treated as individuals—not simply as a diagnosis or a number. We take the time to understand each person's unique circumstances and develop a treatment plan tailored to their needs and goals. Our goal is not simply to manage symptoms, but to help patients develop the tools and understanding needed to create permanent changes and lasting success. We strive to make quality psychiatric care accessible, personal, and responsive, while providing patients with the time and attention they deserve.

Wilson is very thorough and responsive. I tried multiple medications for anxiety before finding a good fit and he helped encourage me not to settle on a medication with side effects.
