Dr. Parnes is very methodological and obtains a very thorough patient hx from you before proceeding. She diagnosed and treated my vaginal infection promptly. She is very easy to talk to and makes you feel comfortable. After having been to a numerous Dr visits, nobody was able to identify my infection except for her, she is quite intelligent. You can trust her completely.

Came to talk about a sensitive issue I've been having and while I know it's her expertise she didn't explain things as thoroughly as I would have liked. When I asked questions she kept answering as if I should just trust her without bringing me up to speed. When asking about birth control she seemed too eager to put me on some when I wasn't all that interested. When I was said I was worried about side effects she again didn't explain and told me to just leave it to her to pick the best pill for me. She's not the worst, she's just not a good fit for me. I won't be coming back.

The first time I saw Dr. Parnes was for an annual exam/pap, and that appointment was fine. She seemed like a good doctor and I was happy with my visit. She told me that they would call me if anything came back abnormal but otherwise I should assume everything was fine. So I didn't hear back for at least a month, and then I got a call that my pap was abnormal and she wanted me to come in for a colposcopy. I scheduled that appointment and that procedure also went fine, and they did a biopsy. They told me they would call me in a week with results. 2 weeks went by before I finally called ask asked about the results, and the receptionist told me that my results were normal and not to worry. I was still ok with Dr. Parnes and her office at this point, but didnt like the lack of communication from them. So I returned for an appointment about some irregular bleeding and pain I was experiencing. At this point Dr. Parnes treated me like she didnt really believe me, and was uninterested in my problems. She did order tests to be done, so that was good, but once again weeks went by without receiving any results. I called the office after a few weeks to ask about the test and ultrasound results, and the receptionist informed me that they hadnt even been looked at yet, but she would call me back in a few hours to give me the results. And she did call me back to tell me the doctor said everything looked fine. I wasnt given the chance to talk to the doctor or given any kind of next steps on what I should do about the problem I was experiencing, I'm sure the receptionist (while very nice) didnt have answers to those questions. At this point I wouldnt recommend Dr. Parnes, I didnt feel like she cared about me at all as a patient and the communication with the office was the worst Ive experienced from a doctor.

This is the best office I have been to in some Time. Everyone was so nice and the Dr was amazing, super nice and friendly and I felt very comfortable with her. I am very happy to have found her.

I usually dread these types of appointments; however, this was not bad at all. The staff is very friendly and the office is beautiful. Dr. Parnes is super nice. She has that best girl friend quality about her. Since I’ve moved to New York I have been in search for an OBGYN and I think I found it.

Since my GYN doctor just retired I was looking for someone to take his place. I was told that I would like Dr. Parnes and although her office is a distance from my house I made an appointment. I was extremely pleased with her professionalism and her thorough exam and history taking. She spent a lot of time going over my medical history as well as my family health history. Sometimes its difficult to find a gynecologist that you like right away. But in the first few minutes I could tell Dr. Parnes would be a doctor you would not only like but refer to other women. She was very easy talk to about sensitive issues that middle aged woman go through. She took her time and explained everything thoroughly. She was knowledgeable yet straightforward in a very caring manner. I am happy I found her.

I was so pleased with care my daughter received from Dr. Parnes that I switched doctors. She patiently guided me through my pre & post menopausal challenges. I highly recommend her for all women but especially for middle age women dealing with menopause changes including weight gain and emotional issues. Like a spa! Also the new office is beautiful.
