Michael is an exceptional dermatologist and a genuinely kind person. I trust him completely with all aspects of my dermatological care, from medical needs to aesthetic treatments. His skin checks are the most thorough I’ve ever experienced—something that means the world to me, given my family history of skin cancer. Michael strikes the perfect balance between being cautious and measured, ensuring nothing unnecessary is removed while addressing anything concerning.
Most recently, he flagged a mole for testing that turned out to be pre-cancerous, and I’m so grateful it was caught early and removed. I feel truly safe and cared for under his expertise and highly recommend him to anyone seeking top-notch dermatological care.

I believe Michael Bontekoe is a miracle worker!!! He cleared my husband severe eczema, he healed my daughter's rosacea, so I had to go to him for my son's dry skin condition and back acne. I trust him 100%. Very thorough and very knowledgeable. Highly recommend him.

It was weird. I showed up and I was 8 minutes late but the receptionist was in no rush. I asked her if I could go put money in my meter to make sure I had enough and she said, sure, fine. I got back at 4:45. I filled out paperwork. It was more of a plastic surgeon’s office rather than a medical office. Ads for Botox and fillers and breast augmentation were everywhere. I finished my paperwork and waited about 10 minutes. Then at 5:00, a nurse came out and said the doctor had to leave and couldn’t see me. That was it. So I left. It wasted two hours of my day to drive where I came from and then go back home. Overall, I felt uncomfortable and I don’t think it’s a fit for me and it seemed unprofessional to have a plastic surgeon’s nurse practitioner do screenings for cancer. I think I’ll choose an office that is more dedicated to oncology and dermatology rather than aesthetics.

I have fair skin and have experienced Actinic Keratosis on my arms and forehead for several years. I booked an appointment with Dr. Bontekoe so that he could look at some recent areas for which I had some concern.
He took time to listen to my experience with the spots and he also examined them as well as other areas on my hands, arms shoulders, neck and face. He let me know that there were a couple of spots he felt should be treated. I agreed and the process was very easy. He is a good listener and communicates clearly before performing any procedures. I felt that I was in very good hands.
I will also say that the office staff was very friendly from the front desk to the assistant whom took me to the exam room.
