Hello and thank you for checking out my profile! I'm Dawn, founder of The Way is Through. As a licensed mental health counselor and art therapist, I bring a unique mix of creativity and curiosity to my work. With a BA in Fine Art and an MA in Counseling and Art Therapy, I've been helping clients navigate stress, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, phobias, and the weight of trauma since 2008. I also support individuals facing life-threatening illnesses, their loved ones, and those working through grief and loss. I believe therapy should be a judgment-free zone, filled with respect, compassion, and (when appropriate) a little humor. No matter where you are on your journey, I will meet you there. I will be your sounding board and cheerleader while encouraging you to hold yourself accountable. In our first session, we'll get to know one another and discuss your goals. As our work together continues, you'll increase self-awareness, come to recognize your strengths, build new skills, and develop tools to help you grow through life’s challenges—now and in the future. Most importantly, you will feel seen and heard.

I highly recommend Dawn Foretich. She has been trained in a rigorous academic program dedicated to depth psychology and self awareness. Having done her own inner work, she is not intimidated by the inner world of her clients. Dawn also has the skills attributed to life coaching. She can troubleshoot life issues with her clients related to self improvement in careers or relationships.Those who choose her as their guide will not be disappointed.

I really enjoy sessions with Dawn. It took a while for me to get back into therapy after trying to fix things on my own. Dawn has been consistent, thoughtful in reaching out with tips and guidance even without a session, and really making me feel like I can fix/heal from my current and past circumstances. She has great energy and is a great listener. She even picks up on things and circles back to dig deeper. While that is part of the profession, she highlights it in a way that helps you dig for deeper understanding. I find myself looking forward to therapy sessions each week. I would 10/10 recommend.
